How to mirror your Samsung phone on Windows

Want to see your Samsung® phone’s screen on your Windows® laptop? Whether you're replying to texts from your keyboard or sharing photos during a presentation, screen mirroring can make your workflow easier.

At Asurion, we help people get the most out of their tech—from syncing across devices to solving tricky connection issues. If you're looking to try Samsung phone mirroring on Windows, here's our guide to get you started.

What is Link to Windows?

Samsung phones come with a built-in feature called Link to Windows. It connects your Galaxy® device to a PC, letting you view notifications, respond to messages, access apps, and even mirror your phone screen in real time.

This feature works with most Galaxy phones running Android™ 10 or later and requires the Phone Link app (formerly Your Phone) on your Windows computer.

Life is short. Ask our experts and get answers now.

How to set up Samsung phone mirroring on Windows

  1. On your Samsung phone, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Panel.
  2. Tap Link to Windows (you may need to add it if it’s not there).
  3. Sign in to your Microsoft® account when prompted.
  4. On your Windows computer, open the Phone Link app (or install it from the Microsoft Store if you don’t have it yet).
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your devices.
  6. Once paired, tap Allow on your phone to give permission to mirror your screen.

You’ll now be able to see your phone screen on your PC, interact with it using your mouse and keyboard, and drag and drop files between devices.

What you can do with Galaxy screen mirroring

  • View and respond to messages
  • Open and use mobile apps from your PC
  • Access recent photos and files
  • Use drag-and-drop to move content between phone and computer
  • Manage notifications directly from your desktop

Troubleshooting tips

If you’re having trouble connecting:

  • Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network
  • Update both the Phone Link app and your Samsung phone
  • Restart both your phone and PC
  • Try unpairing and setting up the connection again

Tried these steps and still need help? We got you. Get your tech problem solved when you call or chat with an expert now.
